The Redhawks fell on the road by just four points to Queens in a close game

FLUSHING, N.Y. - Roberts Wesleyan men's basketball fell to Queens by four points Friday evening, 79-75, splitting the season series with the Knights.

Tyrel Dixon led the Redhawks with 13 points and six rebounds as Malik Dare and Quinn Carey each added 12 points.

How It Happened
Trailing by eight points with 1:07 remaining, the Redhawks manage to pull within three points after Dixon made a pair of free-throws before Mike Stone drained a three-pointer with 47 seconds left on the clock.

However, Queens' Simon Green responded with a three of his own with 19 seconds left to Roberts Wesleyan to score twice. Marcus Gooding managed to tack on two points in the waning moments, but it wasn't enough for the visitors.

The Redhawks kept themselves in the game with excellent free-throw shooting as they hit 17 of 21 to end the game 81.0 percent at the line.
