FLUSHING, N.Y. – After a heavily lop-sided third quarter, Roberts Wesleyan women's basketball fell on the road to Queens, 72-49, in a battle between a pair of ECC tournament qualifiers.
Senior forward
Samantha Courtney was the lone Redhawk to score in double figures with a team-high 12 points while a total of 10 players scored for the visitors.
How It HappenedAfter leaving the locker rooms at the break trailing 34-27, the Knights took control in the third quarter. Over the ten minutes, Queens outscored Roberts Wesleyan 22-6.
The Redhawks shot just 24.1 percent from the field in the second half while also hitting just 1 of 8 from beyond the arc.
Key StatQueens' Madison Rowland poured in a game-high 29 points to pace the Knights.
Inside the Numbers- Everything seemed to go Queens' way as they out-scored the Redhawks in the paint 40-16. They also held the advantage on points off turnovers, 22-4.
