St. Thomas Aquinas Stops Women's Lacrosse

Roberts Wesleyan fell at home on Saturday, 14-4, to the Spartans in an East Coast Conference game

ROCHESTER, N.Y. –Roberts Wesleyan women's lacrosse suffered a 14-4 setback to East Coast Conference foes St. Thomas Aquinas at home Saturday afternoon.

Ali Fox paced the Redhawks with two goals as the team were unable to win their third straight game.

Turning Point
The visiting Spartans dominated play in the first half was they scored seven straight to make it a 9-1 lead before Roberts Wesleyan managed to stop the bleeding with a goal with 7:22 left in the half.

Individual Leaders
- Fox, a senior, scored twice off of just five shots while adding two caused turnovers on the defensive side.
- Cassley Jackowski and Loren Dunn rounded out the scored for the Redhawks as Lauren Marks and Johannah Price both had one assist.

Inside the Box Score
- Frustration led way to discipline as the Redhawks racked up four yellow cards, three of which came n the second half.  
- St. Thomas Aquinas won 12 draw controls to Roberts Wesleyan's eight.
- All 20 of the Spartans' shots were placed on frame.  

News & Notes
- With the two goals, Fox now has 36 points (27 goals, 9 assists) on the season and is 12 points behind team leader Jackowski  (36 goals, 12 assists).
- The loss slips Roberts Wesleyan home record to 1-2 on the year.
