CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. – A total of 111 Roberts Wesleyan student-athletes were named to the East Coast Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2015-16 academic year.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Redhawks placed more than 100 student-athletes on the Honor Roll, which requires a 3.25 or better cumulative grade point average. Roberts Wesleyan had 114 in 2012-13, 116 in 2013-14, and 109 in 2014-15.
Conference-wide, the ECC totaled 1,262 student-athletes that made the list from the 11 member institutions and seven associate members. This year also marks the seventh-straight time the number has grown (1, 125 in 2014-15; 1,102 in 2013-14; 979 in 2012-13; 759 in 2011-12; 678 in 2010-11; 654 in 2009-10; 617 in 2008-09; 613 in 2007-08).
"What a great year for the ECC and for all of those who earned a place on the ECC Commissioners Honor Roll," stated Bob Dranoff, ECC Commissioner. "We are very proud of the record breaking academic performances of those student-athletes who participate in ECC sports. As always, the commitment to excellence in the classroom, along with service to the community, go hand-in-hand with the effort given in athletics. Congratulations!"
Only LIU Post (196), Molloy (139), and Bridgeport (126) had more student-athletes make the prestigious list.
