Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The Roberts Wesleyan men's soccer team fell to East Coast Conference foe Molloy on Friday night, 4-1.

A hat trick by Molloy senior forward Kyle Poetzsch was too much for Roberts Wesleyan to overcome. The Redhawks got down in the game early when Poetzsch scored his first goal of the night in the 12
th minute, heading the ball past
John Ciavaglia. The goal was assisted on by Mosiah Whyte.

Roberts Wesleyan faced a fury of shots in the first half as the Lions fired off 16 shots, but the Redhawks were able to fend off any additional goals as they headed into halftime down 1-0.

In the 67
th Whyte added Molloy's second goal of the contest extending the lead to 2-0. But just seven minutes later Roberts Wesleyan senior midfielder
Malcolm Shaw put a low show into bottom corner of the net beating the keeper to draw the score to 2-1. The goal would be the lone score of the game for the Redhawks.

Poetzsch all but closed the game in 83
rd minute when he scored his second goal of the game to give the Lions a two goal cushion. The Redhawks surrendered a fourth goal in the 85
th minute scored by Poetzsch to give Molly the 4-1 victory.

Shaw finished the game with six total shots and three on frame. Roberts Wesleyan finished with five shots on goal.

Ciavaglia played the full 90 minutes in the net and made seven saves on the night.
