Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer team defeated Molloy 2-0 Friday night to extend their win streak to three games.

Orla Martin opened the game's scoring with what would be the game winner in the 10
th minute off a corner kick by
Sarah Giancursio. Martin headed it past the keeper for her third goal of the season.

The Redhawks outshot the Lions 8-5 in the first half.

Holding onto a 1-0 lead heading into the second half freshman goalkeeper
Kelsey Brinkel was forced to make six saves in the net to keep the clean sheet. Brinkel also made two saves in the first half.

Roberts Wesleyan (5-3-1, 2-1 ECC) scored an insurance goal in the 82nd minute to go up 2-0 when
Taylor Rutland's shot curled into the top far corner.

"It was a great road win for our girls," head coach
Sarah McClellan said. "We battled tough, scored some nice goals and Kelsey was lights out in goal for the shutout."

The Redhawks will continue East Coast Conference action when they play away at Queens College on Sunday at noon.
