Women's Soccer Ends Season in Loss to NYIT

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss to New York Institute of Technology on Saturday closing out the 2017 season.
 
The Bears opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a goal by Casey Luongo. The goal was assisted on by Taylor Casey. Casey then added a goal of her own in the second half at the 68:30 mark to give NYIT a 2-0 lead. The Bears added a third goal in the 76th minute on a penalty kick scored by Dina Simonian.
 
Most of the offensive opportunities for the Redhawks came in the second half, but none found the back of the net. Roberts had seven shots on goal in the game.
 
The Redhawks finished the season with a 3-12-1 record.
