Rochester, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's basketball team erased a 15-point first half deficit to comeback and defeat LIU Post 78-70 on Saturday afternoon.

The Redhawks struggled from the field in the first half allowing the LIU Post Pioneers to go into the locker room at half time with a 43-28 lead. Roberts was just 10-for-30 (33.3%) from the field in the half while going just 2-for-13 (15.4%) from beyond the arc. LIU Post shot 50-percent in all shooting categories in the first half going 17-of-34 from the field, 6-of-12 from three point range and 3-of-6 from the free throw line.

In the second half the Redhawks found more success hitting their shots shooting 16-of-30 (53.3%) from the field. Roberts was able to cut the double digit deficit to single digits with 3:46 remaining in the third quarter when an
Emily Miller free throw made the score 53-44.

An 8-0 run to begin the fourth quarter gave the Redhawks a 59-58 lead with 5:47 left in the game. Back-to-back three pointers by sharpshooter
Lucy Covley gave the Redhawks a three point lead with under five minutes to play and Roberts never gave up the lead from there as they picked up the 14
th win of the season.

Miller, a freshman forward finished with a double-double, 14 points and 11 rebounds. Junior guard
Necedah James didn't miss a shot from the field going 7-of-7 for 20 points, three assists and five rebounds.

Roberts Wesleyan (14-10, 8-6 ECC) head on the road for the next three games and will face Mercy College on Tuesday with a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.
