Salisbury, N.C. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's lacrosse team fell in their regular season opener on Thursday to Catawba College, 9-11.

Senior attacker Cassley Jackowski scored five first half goals to lead the team. The Lafayette, N.Y. native also added two assists and totaled 10 shots on the day.

Jackowski put the Redhawks up 2-0 with the first two goals of the contest. But Catawba countered with two goals of their own. Jackowski answered the Indian's attack with two back-to-back goals again while adding in one last goal at the end of the first half to give Roberts a 5-3 lead at the break.
