ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's lacrosse team fell to Merrimack College on Sunday afternoon 15-11.

A goal by
Cassley Jackowski with one second left on the clock in the first half drew the Redhawks within two goals of the lead with the Warriors up 7-5. Jackowski picked up right where she left off in the second half with a quick goal to cut the lead to one. Merrimack had the answer and used three straight goals from Annette Ruggiero to build a 12-8 lead. Roberts was able to score three more goals before the end of the half but it wasn't enough as the Warriors didn't leave any Redhawk goal unanswered.

Merrimack outshot the Redhawks 36-20 in the game, with 28 shots on frame.

Roberts Wesleyan (1-3) will travel to Erie, Pa. on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. game against Gannon University. Â
