ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's lacrosse team couldn't find a way to knock off No. 14 ranked NYIT on Friday, losing 19-8.

Cassley Jackowski scored three goals and had two assists to lead the Redhawks.
Johannah Price added two goals while
Elizabeth Spada,
Mackenzie Kidder, and
Megan Burnham each had one goal.

Roberts fell behind early in the game but a three goal run at the end of the first half cut the deficit to four goals with NYIT leading 8-4. The Redhawks opened the second half with the first goal to make it 8-5, but NYIT answered with a five goal run to extend the lead to 13-5.

The Bears were led by senior attacker Katie Mienecke's six goals and one assist. Â

Roberts Wesleyan falls to 6-9 on the season and 3-4 in the East Coast Conference. The Redhawks will host Edinboro University on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
