DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's lacrosse team fell to 6-7 on the season and 3-2 in the East Coast Conference after losing to Mercy College on Friday evening, 15-8.

Cassley Jackowski had a team-high five goals in the loss.

The Redhawks got off to a quick lead scoring the game's first three goals, including one from freshman
Jessica Giancursio to open the scoring followed by two from Jackowski.

Mercy answered with a four goal run to take a 4-3 advantage. Hunter Isnardi scored three of her game-high six in the opening scoring run for the Mavericks.

Jackowski tied the game up at 5-5 with 6:28 remaining in the first half, but Mercy took control from then on, scoring three before the end of the half to go into the break holding an 8-5 lead.

The Redhawks could only find the back of the net three times in the second half, including another from Jackowksi and two from
Megan Burnham.

Goalkeeper
Shannon Knapp made 17 saves in the game. Knapp is currently No. 3 in NCAA Division II in saves per game with 11.45.

Roberts (6-7, 3-2 ECC) will play ECC top-ranked LIU Post on Sunday at noon.
