LAKEWOOD, N.J. – The Roberts Wesleyan men's lacrosse fell to Georgian Court University in overtime, 13-12 in the final game of the season.

The Redhawks scored two goals in the final four minutes to tie the game and send it into overtime. Down 12-10 with 3:43 remaining, freshman
AJ Hemms scored off a feed from senior
Brady Bermingham. Just over two minutes later
Zac Sapor scored the game tying goal with 1:28 left on the clock.

In the sudden death overtime period the Lions' Chris Van Ooteghem scored the game winner with 1:14 remaining to give Georgian Court their fifth win of the season.

Leading the way for Roberts was
Cody Menzies and
Alex Bianchi. Menzies tallied five goals in the game while Bianchi added three goals and four assists. Freshman
AJ Hemms found the back of the net twice and both
Zac Sapor and
Mike Richardson scored one goal each.

The Redhawks outshot the Lions 50-25 and had the advantage with shots on goal 28-19. Roberts also controlled much of the possession in the game with 39 ground balls compared to 28 by Georgian Court.

Roberts Wesleyan finished the season 4-12 overall and 1-7 in the East Coast Conference. Â
