SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan men's soccer team couldn't find a rhythm today as they dropped their third straight game losing to Le Moyne College, 2-0.
Â
The Dolphins scored both their goals in a three minute stretch in the second half with the first coming in the 52
nd minute and the second coming in the 55
th minute. The first goal was credited to Marek Weber, and the second goal was scored by Sam Daniel.
Â
The Redhawks spent most of the game defending in their own half of the field giving up 16 shots to the Dolphins and eight corner kicks. On the offensive side of the pitch, Roberts only got off two shots in the game.
Â
"We were flat for the whole game," said head coach
Scott Reber. "We had a better second half, but poor marking on set pieces sealed our fate. We need to regroup and look to the next game and respond in a positive way."
Â
Roberts has played three games in five days to begin the season but will have a three day break before traveling to North Easton, Mass. to face off against Stonehill College. The Skyhawks are 1-1-1 in their three games this season.
