ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's basketball team fell to LIU Post on Sunday afternoon, 88-80.
Despite the Redhawks holding the lead for the majority of the first quarter the Pioneers grabbed the lead with 37 seconds left in the first and never gave it back up for the remainder of the game. LIU Post gave themselves a cushion at the end of the first half with a last second bucket to take a 19 point lead, their largest of the game.
The Redhawks cut a the double digit lead to just five points with 3:21 left in the game after a three point basket by
Sara Nady. But the Pioneers had the answer on offense hitting back-to-back three pointers on their offensive trips down the floor.
The loss hands Roberts their second loss in the East Coast Conference while the Pioneers stay perfect in conference play.

Necedah James led the Redhawks with 22 points, three assists, and two steals.
Makaiya Moore led LIU Post with 19 points on a perfect 9-of-9 shooting.
Roberts Wesleyan (11-6, 5-2 ECC) will head on the road to face Queens College on Friday in Flushing, N.Y.
