ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's basketball team rolled to a 19 point victory on the road on Sunday against Molloy, winning 67-48.

Lucy Covley had her highest point production of the season scoring 21 points on 7 of 15 shooting with all her made baskets coming off three pointers. Covley also came down with eight rebounds and had an assist and two steals.
The Redhawks defense forced the Lions into 17 turnovers in the game and posted 10 steals. Three of those steals came from junior guard
Taylor Bynoe.
After a competitive first half the score was tied at 33-33. But the Redhawks put together a dominant second half holding the Lions to single digits in each of the final two quarters and just 15 points in total in the entire second half. Roberts forced Molloy into 7 of 23 (30.4%) shooting from the field and 1 of 6 (16.7%) from three point range. The Redhawks only sent the Lions to the free throw line four times in the second half where the Lions missed all of their shots.
Roberts Wesleyan moves to 13-6 overall and 7-2 in the East Coast Conference. They will host Bridgeport on Friday, January 26 for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
