ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer team fell to ECC conference opponent Molloy College on Saturday afternoon, 1-0.
The first half seemed to be a battle on both ends of the field as the game was scoreless after 45 minutes. Fast forward to late in the second half; the Lions were able to sneak in a last minute attempt to seal up a 1-0 victory. The goal came off of short dish to Molloy attacker Lauren Marinello after a corner kick in the 89
thminute.
The Redhawks were able to get two shots on goal versus Molloy's nine. These two shots came from junior
Israela Groves. Also, junior goalkeeper
Kelsey Brinkel played the entire game and added eight saves on the day.
Next, the Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer team (5-8-2, 3-5-0 ECC) will play their last regular season game at home against The University of Bridgeport. The game is scheduled for Saturday, October 7 and is slated to begin at 2:30 PM.
