OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – In their first game of a two-game road trip, the Roberts Wesleyan women's basketball team fell to conference opponent NYIT on Friday evening, 60-49.
The Redhawks ended the night by going 21-for-58 (36%) from the field, 1-for-12 (8%) from three-point range, and 6-for-6 (100%) from the free-throw line. The Bears finished by going 22-for-63 (35%) from the field and 8-for-13 from the charity stripe.
Two Redhawks scored in the double digits on Friday. Junior
Emily Miller came up with another double double scoring 12 points and recording 10 rebounds. Freshman
Dimitra Gkizani scored 12 points while also adding seven rebounds to her daily performance.
Next up for the Roberts Wesleyan women's basketball team is a trip to Brookville, N.Y. to face ECC opponent LIU Post on Sunday, December 16. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:30 PM.
