SPRINGFIELD, MA. – The Roberts Wesleyan men's basketball team lost on the road to American International College Saturday afternoon, 61-82.
Turnovers and missed attempts on three-pointers proved costly for the Redhawks. Roberts ended the night shooting 22-for-59 (37%) from the field and 16-for-20 (80%) on free throws. However, the Redhawks would struggle from outside the arc, only getting one of their twenty attempts for three in the basket.
American International's largest lead of 33 came in the second half with 9:10 left on the clock. The Redhawks spent the entire second half trying to chip away at the Yellow Jackets but the final buzzer would go off and AIC would take the win.
Peyton McLaurin led the Redhawks with 19 points and six rebounds.
Armon Nasseri had 12 points, two blocks, and four rebounds.
The Roberts Wesleyan men's basketball team will face Daemen College on Wednesday, December 5 at 8 PM in a nationally showcased 'Code Red' matchup at the Voller Athletic Center.
