ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Roberts Wesleyan women's lacrosse team played its first East Coast Conference game of the season on Saturday hosting nationally ranked LIU Post. The Redhawks fell 14-5.

It was the Redhawks who got on the board first with a goal in the 25th minute. The goal was scored by freshman Emily Tomei and assisted on by Emily Knight.

The lead only lasted for short time as the Pioneers scored just 15 seconds later and then would add four additional goals to take a 5-1 lead.

Mackenzie Kidder would help the Redhawks close the gap with back-to-back goals before the end of the first half making the score 5-3 at the break.

In the second half LIU Post turned up the pressure getting off 18 shots and 16 of those on net. Roberts had six shots with four on goal in the second half.

Redhawks' goalkeeper Victoria Greco had 12 saves in net.

Roberts Wesleyan (3-2, 0-1 ECC) will host Gannon University on Thursday at 4 p.m.
