The Redhawks jumped out to a 1-0 lead when they swept all three doubles matches.  Seniors Andrea Gallardo and Nthabi Mogopodi won at second and first singles in straight sets to run the lead to 3-0.

Senior Marousia Bosch then clinched the victory for Roberts with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Amelie Meyers at third singles.  Freshman Bijisha Shrestha extended the lead with a 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 win over Ciara Dittrich at fourth singles.  Sophomore Laura Freeman and Junior Salome Darsalia closed out the scoring with straight set wins.

"This was our best team effort of the season," said head coach Tom Linhart. "STAC is a talented and well coached team, and we played clean and smart tennis.  Our seniors showed excellent leadership today.  This is a victory we can build upon."

The Redhawks return to action on Thursday as they host Houghton College for a 4 p.m. match on RWC courts.
