ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's volleyball team fell in straight sets to Molloy on Sunday afternoon and are now 3-11 overall and 2-3 in the East Coast Conference.
The Redhawks couldn't find their rhythm in the match despite winning the past two matches. The Lions used their high-powered offense to keep Roberts off balance and took advantage of several offensive runs to put the Redhawks in a hole early in sets.
Roberts had 22 kills on 100 attempts with 18 errors (.040) while Molloy had 43 kills on 111 attempts and 15 attack errors (.252).
Junior
Rachel Holmes had 10 kills to lead the Redhawks and
Shelby Strausbaugh had 18 kills to lead on the defensive end.
Roberts will host Mercy on Friday in the Voller Athletic Center at 7 p.m. followed by a Saturday matchup at home against Bridgeport at noon.
