PAINESVILLE, Ohio – A poor shooting day all around led to an 82-40 loss for the Roberts Wesleyan men's basketball team on the road against Lake Erie College.
The game got out of hand quickly on Saturday as the Redhawks were only able to score 11 points in the first half. The team shot just 13-percent from the field in the first half on 4-of-29 shooting and was 2-of-16 (12%) from beyond the arc.

Shane Fanning with 15:41 left in the first half gave the Redhawks its sixth point of the game. For the remainder of the half Roberts scored just five points including a six minute stretch where Lake Erie used a 17-1 run to build a demanding lead. At the halftime break the Storm held a 38-11 advantage.
The second half was just slightly better for Roberts in terms of shooting percentage. The Redhawks were 7-of-26 (26%) and 1-of-9 (11%) from three point range.
Lake Erie's scoring was distributed throughout its entire team with 12 different players scoring a bucket. 40 of the team's 82 points came from off the bench.
Roberts falls to 1-5 this season and will have one more home game on Tuesday before spending the next seven games on the road. The Redhawks take on Walsh on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
