KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer team saw its season come to an end on Friday evening in the semifinals of the NCCAA Championships. The Redhawks fell to Cedarville University 1-0.
The winning goal for No. 1 seeded Cedarville was scored just seconds before the end of the first half. Kenna Anderson was on the receiving end of a cross from Olivia Hoffman to the far post and Anderson put the shot away.
The one goal difference was all it took to decide a winner as both teams matched up statistically. The Yellowjackets had the slight edge on the offensive side of the pitch with 17 shots to 10 for the Redhawks.
Olivia Grande had two shots on goal for Roberts. Senior
Kelsey Brinkel made seven saves in goal in her final appearance for the Redhawks.
Roberts finished the season 10-6-3, their best record since 2016.
