WHEELING, W.Va. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's lacrosse team started the 2019 lacrosse season with an 18-6 win over Wheeling Jesuit on Saturday.
Ten different players got on the board for the Redhawks with at least one goal. Senior
Emily Knight, sophomore
Taylor Nathan and sophomore transfer
Lindsey Brinkel all tallied three goals each. Both Knight and Nathan also added in one assist in the game.
Roberts got off to a quick start scoring the first four goals of the game and by halftime the Redhawks held a dominating 12-4 advantage.
On offense the Redhawks fired off 37 total shots with 26 of those shot being on target while Wheeling Jesuit had 14 total shots and 11 on goal.
Roberts Wesleyan (1-0) will take on Newberry College on Monday at 4 p.m. in Newberry, S.C.
