DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – In its first East Coast Conference matchup of the season the Roberts Wesleyan men's lacrosse team lost to undefeated Mercy College, 9-6.
 
Senior Cody Menzies helped keep the Redhawks in the game with his three goals on the day. Menzies' goal with 10:35 left in the third quarter helped tie the score at 6-6, but the Mavericks scored the final three goals of the game to take home the victory.
 
Pat Hynes faced a fury of shots with Mercy getting off 41 shots with 24 on target. Hynes made 15 total saves. Roberts had 20 shots in total with 14 on frame.
 
Roberts Wesleyan (3-3, 0-1 ECC) will travel to LIU Post next Saturday. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
