ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Nine different players scored at least one goal on Saturday afternoon for the Roberts Wesleyan women's lacrosse team as the Redhawks defeated Queens College, 21-3.
Junior
Jessica Giancursio led the Redhawks with six points on three goals and three assists. The team captain also had three ground balls and three draw controls.
Emily Knight,
Ellen O'Neil,
Emily Tomei, and
Megan Burnham all tallied three goals each.
Roberts improves on the best start in school program history as the team moves to 9-1 overall and 2-0 in the East Coast Conference.
The Redhawks have been outshooting opponents in nearly every game this season and Saturday was no different as they outshot the Knights 36-13. 29 of those 36 shots were on goal frame.
Victoria Greco and
Natalie Arieno split time in goal for Roberts. Greco made three saves while Arieno made four saves and allowed no goals.
Next up for the Redhawks is a difficult road matchup against No.13 ranked Mercy. The game is slated for Saturday at noon.
