Mercyhurst University's Mens tennis rolled past the RWC Redhawks this afternoon in a match played at the Westwood Tennis Club in Erie, PA. The Lakers swept the doubles to take a 1-0 lead in the match. The Redhawks had no more success in singles against the Atlantic Division powerhouse. RWC did get good performances from Sophomores Tm Nacca and
Harmeet Luthra. Nacca gave Unai Amiletta a good run but lost a close 6-4, 6-3 match at third singles. Luthra came closest to getting a point for the Redhawks but lost a tough three setter to Mercyhurst's Ray Yoron 4-6, 6-2, 10-6 at sixth singles.
The Redhawks next take on the University of Western Ontario in a match Saturday at 5pm at Midtown Athletic Club.
