SPARKILL, N.Y. – Sophomore
Emily Tomei picked up her 100
th point and 100
th draw control on Monday as she led the Roberts Wesleyan women's lacrosse team to a 19-8 win over St. Thomas Aquinas.
Tomei finished with five goals and one assist to lead the Redhawks. Fellow sophomore
Taylor Nathan came away with four goals. And
Lindsey Brinkel had two goals with five assists.
Roberts took a demanding lead right from the start with seven straight goals. The lead was never in question as the Redhawks held the Spartans to 23 shots and 18 on goal. Starting goalkeeper
Victoria Greco made nine saves and recorded her 300
th career save in the win.
The Redhawks have now won the most games in program history with 10. The team is 10-3 and 3-2 in the East Coast Conference. Roberts will host Bridgeport on Saturday at 1 p.m.
