ROCHESTER, N.Y. - St. Thomas Aquinas College snapped the RWC Men's Tennis team five game win streak when they defeated the Redhawks 5-2 in an ECC match played at the Midtown Athletic Club on Friday.
STAC won the doubles point to open the scoring. RWC's
Boyd Blackburn and
Guido Janssen ran their season doubles record to 16-7 with a 7-5 win over Marcel Volz and Mitch Harrison at first doubles.
STAC then won 4 of the 6 singles matches. Matt Forrest and
Andrew Freeman lost close three setters at 3
rd and 5
th singles respectively. The Redhawks points came from Janssen with a 6-2,6-0 win at 2
nd singles over Tim Fleerkamp and a three set win at 4
th singles for the Redhawks

The 11-8 (2–2ECC) Redhawks close out their conference schedule with a 12pm match against Queens College on the RWC courts on Saturday.
