ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Seton Hill only needed 40 seconds to seal the game against the Roberts Wesleyan men's soccer team on Saturday afternoon as the Redhawks fell 2-0.
Less than one minute after kickoff Roberts conceded a goal to the Griffins to go down 1-0. Daniel Van Grop was the goal scorer when his low shot from the right side of goal went between
Jared Gibbons legs and into the back of the net.
Seton Hill continued to pour on the pressure in their attacking end finding the goal again in the 13th minute off a free kick 20 yards out. Archie Lock was the goal scorer.
At the end of the first half it was Seton Hill with 11 shots and Roberts with just one.
The Redhawks found some rhythm in the second half and were able to outshoot the Griffins eight to one but none of those shots were able to sneak by the visitor's goalkeeper. Senior
Terrell Spencer had four total shots with two on target.
The winless Redhawks (0-3-1) travel to California University of Pennsylvania on Wednesday for a non-conference matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
