COLCHESTER, Vt. – Senior forward Terrell Spencer scored his third goal of the season and 13th of his career, but the Roberts Wesleyan men's soccer team couldn't upset Southern New Hampshire on Wednesday afternoon, losing 5-1 against the Purple Knights.
 
Both teams fired off plenty of shots with a total of 40 shots taken in the game. 16 of those shots were on frame. In the first half the Redhawks outshot Saint Michael's 13-12 but only one of those shots found the back of the net. Spencer's goal in the 41st minute was the lone goal of the game for Roberts.
 
The Purple Knights started the game off quickly and put the Redhawks in a deficit that they could not overcome. Saint Michael's got on the board in the 10th minute off a corner kick opportunity. 15 seconds later the hosts scored the game's second goal to go up 2-0. The Purple Knights then added two more goals in the 24th minute and 35th minute before Roberts was able to notch a goal.
 
Saint Michael's found the final goal of the game in the 89th minute to grab a 5-1 lead which held at the final whistle.
 
Roberts (2-4-1) will be home on Saturday for a homecoming match against St. Thomas Aquinas. It will be the Redhawks first East Coast Conference action of the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
