NEWARK, Del. – A late fourth quarter goal downed the Roberts Wesleyan men's lacrosse team on Wednesday afternoon on the road against Wilmington. The Redhawks lost 12-11.
 
Roberts found themselves down 11-5 in the third quarter with Wilmington having just scored six straight goals. Freshman 
Reid Jackowski slowed the hosts' momentum with an unassisted goal midway through the third quarter. Jackowski's goal led the Redhawks on a six goal run of their own. 
Matt Gademske scored his second goal of the game with six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 11-11. But Wilmington had the final answer with a goal by Logan Stinson with 1:33 remaining in the game.
 
Nate Maloney led the Redhawks with three goals and one assist. Gademske was joined by 
Hunter Lemieux, 
Connor Jones and Jackowski each with two goals.
 
Stinson led Wilmington with five goals and three assists.
 
The Redhawks won the faceoff battle 17-8 and ground ball 34-23. 
Mitch Streety went 17-of-24 on faceoffs.
 
Roberts falls to 0-2 and will be back in action again on Saturday against Felician University.
