ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's basketball team dropped its second game of the Redhawks Classic in overtime to Saint Anselm, 63-59.
In a game that featured 17 ties and 7 lead changes the Hawks were able to close things out in overtime to win its second game of the Redhawks Classic.
Roberts was led by the duo of senior
Taryn Wilson and sophomore
Georgia Haverlock. Both finished with 17 points on the night. Wilson added in seven rebounds, five assists and two steals while Haverlock pulled down six boards and had one steal.
Down the stretch in regulation, Wilson came in clutch for the Redhawks hitting a pair of free throws with three seconds left to force overtime.
In overtime, Saint Anselm's Peyton Steinman scored the first bucket and the Hawks never let go of the lead from there on out. Steinman scored 17 to help pace Saint Anselm.
Roberts (1-1) will be back in the Voller Athletic Center again on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. against Mansfield University.
