Redhawks Close Season With Sweep At Queens

FLUSHING, N.Y. - The Roberts Wesleyan College women's volleyball team concluded its season by sweeping Queens College in an East Coast Conference match on Sunday.
"The team played at a high level today," said coach Doug Porterfield, whose team won by scores of 25-23, 25-20 and 25-22. "We had some outstanding play from our middies with positive block touches giving more opportunities to the hitters to score."
Senior Becca Oldham led the Redhawks (3-21, 2-10 East Coast Conference) with eight kills. Emily Rowlison and Sydney Yanak both contributed seven kills, with Rowlison adding three blocks and 10 points and Yanak registering seven digs.
Madison Truong finished with 33 assists and Teagan Weber totaled 21 digs and three aces.
"I am very proud of how they played today from the first serve to the last point," Porterfield said. "This will give us momentum moving into the spring season."
