Slow Offensive Start Leads to Daemen Victory, 2/17
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Daemen Wildcats traveled to Rochester Wednesday night to compete against the Redhawks for the third time this season. A slow offensive start for the Redhawks and tough shooting night led to the Redhawks' sixth loss of the season, 58-42.
Daemen was the first on the board and maintained their lead for the remainder of the game. Roberts couldn't seem to get their footing offensively, as they turned the ball over 21 times and the Wildcats converted into 23 points. The Wildcats also outrebounded the Redhawks, 41-36. Roberts shot 28.6% (15-for-56) from the field, 15.8% (3-for-19) from three, and 87.5% (7-for-8) from the free throw line.
Junior Dimitra Gkizani led all scorers with 15 points and 3 rebounds. Senior Paige McCormick tallied 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists, while sister Madison McCormick added 7 points and 9 rebounds.

Hot Third Quarter Leads to Women's Basketball Victory Over D'Youville, 2/19
BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Redhawks traveled to D'Youville College Friday night for their first match-up against the Saints over the weekend. After a back-and-forth first half with 5 ties and 7 lead changes, Roberts trailed by 4 going into the break. The third quarter proved to be the difference maker as the Redhawks outscored D'Youville by 25 points. The Redhawks maintained their breakout lead until the end of the game, beating D'Youville 95-78.
Hot shooting behind the arc, significant points in the paint, and strong rebounding propelled the Redhawks to their fourth win of the season. Roberts shot 53.6% (15-for-28) from three, scored 34 points in the paint, and out-rebounded the Saints 46-38.
Junior Dimitra Gkizani notched her second double-double of the season in this game, netting 19 points and grabbing 12 rebounds, 8 of which were offensive. Senior Paige McCormick also recorded 19 points while Freshman Georgia Haverlock and Junior Taryn Wilson scored 15 and 13, respectively.

Redhawks Down D'Youville for the Second Time, 2/21
BUFFALO, N.Y. - Roberts Wesleyan's Women's Basketball team traveled to D'Youville College for the second time on Sunday after a high-scoring win on Friday. Again, domination of the boards and hot shooting put the Redhawks ahead of the Saints for their fifth win of the season with the final score reading 86-63.Â
While the Redhawks didn't shoot over 50% from behind the arc this game, they still put up impressive statistics. Women's Basketball shot 44.3% (31-for-70) from the field, 37.5% (9-for-24) from three and 75% (15-for-20) from the free throw line. The Redhawks grabbed 57 rebounds compared to the Saints' 34 and managed to score 42 points in the paint compared to their 20.
Junior Dimitra Gkizani stuffed the stat sheet again as she recorded her third double-double of the season with 19 points and 11 rebounds. She shot 70% (7-for-10) from the field and also blocked 3 shots. Junior Taryn Wilson netted 15 points, shooting an impressive 5-for-7 from behind the arc. Freshman Georgia Haverlock scored 17 points coming off the bench and Senior Paige McCormick recorded 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.

This Week's Upcoming Games
D'Youville College (1-5, 0-4 ECC) travels to Rochester on Wednesday to make up the Women's Basketball match scheduled in January that was postponed due to COVID protocols. Tip-off is set for 7 pm. On Saturday and Sunday at 1 pm, the Redhawks (5-6, 3-4 ECC) play Molloy College (3-2, 3-2 ECC) in the VAC for the final weekend before postseason play.
