BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan College women's soccer team scored early and often while rolling to an 8-0 win over host D'Youville College at Dobson Field on Friday.
Sophomore
Olivia Grande scored 32 seconds into the match and the Redhawks (4-0-1) found the back of the net six times in the first half.
Sophomore
Morgan Razzano scored twice and junior
Sydney Regan, and freshmen
Abigail Sindoni and
Shannon Cepiel also had goals in the first half.
Junior
Haley Cole and freshman
Ciarra Rudnick scored in the second half for Roberts. Grande, Sindoni and Regan all have three goals to lead the Redhawks this spring. Cepiel and Rudnick both notched the first goals of their college careers.
Junior
Justine Sharda had two assists and Cepiel tallied one for Roberts. The Redhawks outshot the Saints 28-1 in the match.
Nicolette Knauf and
Madison Papaj split time in goal for Roberts.
The Redhawks defeated the Saints 6-0 on March 28.
Roberts will be back in the Buffalo area to wrap up the spring portion of its schedule with a match at Daemen College at noon on Sunday.
