BUFFALO, N.Y. - The men's and women's swimming and diving teams found success at Erie Community College's quad meet on Saturday sweeping Erie, Medaille and Jamestown CC while breaking 19 team records in the process.
On the men's side, the Redhawks defeated Erie, 83-50; Medaille, 84-49; and Jamestown, 84-80. Starting off the meet the Roberts men won the 400 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 4:02.87.
Mateus Moura won the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 2:04.47.
Robert Bodien won both the 200 Yard Butterfly and the 200 Yard Backstroke with times of 2:14.49 and 2:15.45 respectively.
Continuing on their success,
Collin Webb won the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 22.27. Webb also won the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 48.32.
Gabe Rivers won the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 56.04. Finally, a team made up of Rivers, Moura, Bodien, and Webb won the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 3:26.23.
The women's team dominated the meet, defeating Erie, 183-20; Medaille, 185-19; and Jamestown 166-64. In the women's 400 Yard Medley Relay, Roberts came in first with a time of 4:22.80 and third with a time of 4:49.96.
Samantha Pratt came in first in the 1000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 12:05.31. In the 200 Yard Freestyle,
Jessica Furnum came in first with a time of 2:07.48.
Paige Siebold and
Daniela Rodriguez came in first and second in the 100 Yard Backstroke with times of 1:06.55 and 1:10.51 respectively. Siebold also placed first in the 200 Yard Backstroke.
Sara Gendrue came in first in both the 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:13.02 and in the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:44.71.
Katelyn Rakiey and Pratt came in first and second in the 200 Yard Backstroke with times of 2:30.78 and 2:53.66 respectively. In the Girls 50 Yard Freestyle
Rennee Rozler came in second with a time of 25.48 and
Anna Vorderbrueggen cane in third with a time of 28.94.
Both the men's and women's teams look forward to their last meet of the season on April 10 at 11 a.m. at Rochester Institute of Technology.
