Redhawks Face Brockport At Home on Tuesday

LOCK HAVEN, PA. – The Roberts Wesleyan College women's volleyball team learned a lot about itself at the season-opening Lock Haven University Tournament.
"I feel like we are starting to settle on the core of the team," Roberts coach Doug Porterfield said. "We are starting to get the right players in the right places."
Roberts (0-4) played two matches on Saturday, falling to Slippery Rock 25-19, 25-11 and 25-13 and Malone University 25-9, 25-12 and 25-10.
Freshman Sydney Yanak led Roberts with 15 kills in the two matches, including nine against Malone. Graduate student Emily Rowlison added 10 kills. Sophomore Madison Truong paced Roberts with 14 assists and freshman Teagan Weber had 18 digs, including 15 against Malone. Freshman Sarina Pasquantonio also gained valuable experience playing the right side.
The Redhawks will open the home portion of their schedule at 7 p.m. Tuesday against Brockport at the Voller Athletic Center.
"We are committed to the grind that is needed to get us to a winning place," Porterfield said.
