DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. - The Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer team battled the No. 20 Mercy Mavericks to a 0-0 tie on Saturday afternoon on the road in the final game of the regular season.
The tie sets the Redhawks up as the No. 3 seed in the East Coast Conference Championships which will begin with the semifinals on Wednesday. Roberts will travel to No. 2 Molloy.
Roberts had a total of five shots against Mercy with two shots on net. Justine Sharda and Gabrielle Ciambella each put one shot on frame. The Mavericks finished with 10 shots and four on target.
"Our team really put in a solid performance from start to finish today," said head coach Sarah McClellan. "It was a very good preparation game heading into the postseason."
The Redhawks finish the regular season with an 11-3-1 record, which is the most wins in a season since 2015.
Roberts semifinal game against Molloy will start at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on the ECC Sports Network.
