Redhawks Top Chestnut Hill In Non-Conference Game

LAFAYETTE HILL, PA. – The Roberts Wesleyan University women's soccer team earned a 2-1 victory over Chestnut Hill College in a non-conference match on Tuesday.
Graduate student Justine Sharda and freshman Ella White each scored in a 5:46 span bridging the first and second halves to give the Redhawks (9-1, 4-0 East Coast Conference) a 2-0 lead.
Sharda scored her first of the season on a 25-yard direct kick with 3:12 remaining in the first half. White scored her team-leading ninth of the fall on an assist from Kara Choate 2:34 into the second half. The strike, from 18 yards away, was White's sixth game-winner of the season.
Junior Nicolette Knauf made a season-high nine saves for the Redhawks.
Chestnut Hill scored its only goal on a direct kick with 1:04 to play.
Roberts returns to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday for an ECC match against the College of Staten Island.
