ROCHESTER, N.Y. - A lights-out shooting night for Le Moyne gave the Roberts Wesleyan women's basketball team trouble on Wednesday night as the Redhawks fell to the Dolphins, 85-63.
Le Moyne connected on 18-of-32 (56.3%) from 3-point range for their best shooting night of the season which helped give the Dolphins a 20-8 lead after the first quarter. The Redhawks rallied their way back into the game in the second quarter following five straight 3-point buckets. Dani DiCintio opened the quarter with back-to-back triples followed by a
Paris Anthony three and a long-range shot from
Georgia Haverlock. DiCintio hit the next shot from beyond the arc to cut the Le Moyne lead to just two points. But the Dolphins quickly found their groove again and extended the lead to double-digits.
The Redhawks were 12-of-27 (44.4%) from long range.
DiCintio finished with 15 points and 8 assists. Haverlock had 12 points and 8 rebounds.
Freshman
Grace Galgano was 6-of-7 from the field with 14 points to go along with 6 rebounds.
Roberts (2-7, 1-1 ECC) are back at it again on Saturday when they take on Molloy University in the Voller Athletic Center at 2 p.m.
