ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Roberts Wesleyan College women's lacrosse standout
Lindsey Brinkel has been named the Division II Offensive Player of the Week by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
Brinkel, a graduate student who plays attack, scored 23 points in two games last week, including 15 (5 goals, 10 assists) in a 23-4 win over the University of Bridgeport on Saturday. Her point and assist totals were single-game highs for Division II this season.
Brinkel, who was named East Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week registered four goals and four assists in a 13-11 loss to then-No. 2 LeMoyne College on Wednesday.
She has 23 goals and 23 assists in six games and currently leads Division II in both points (7.67) and assists (3.83) per game.
Roberts (4-2) is ranked 17
th in the
ILWomen/IWLCA poll this week and plays at Notre Dame College on Wednesday.
