SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The No. 17 Roberts women's lacrosse team grabbed its fifth win of the season on Wednesday afternoon with a 15-5 win over Notre Dame College (Ohio).
Roberts is now 5-2 at the midway mark of the season.
Madison Bell led the scoring with five goals to put her at 32 goals this season. Fellow attacker
Lindsey Brinkel scored twice and dished out six assists.
The game was always in the Redhawks control after the team jumped out to a comfortable five goal lead in the first quarter. In the early minutes of the second half Roberts had built a double digit lead after an
Alexis Grant goal made the score 13-3.
"It was a great win on the road for us," said head coach
Kristin Paolini. "Our girls came out and executed against a good Notre Dame team and battled through some bad weather today. We know there were areas we could have been sharper today, but our team is continuing to grow and improve each game. This will be an exciting second half of the season."
The Redhawks will need to be on point as they prepare to take on No. 6 Florida Southern on Friday at noon. The game will be a neutral site game hosted at Tiffin University.
