WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University men's soccer team overcame a slow start to earn a 1-1 draw with Daemen University in an East Coast Conference match at Williamsville South High School on Wednesday.
The Redhawks (5-4-2, 2-1-2 ECC) fell behind in the sixth minute before turning up the pressure in the second half.
"We made a couple of adjustments at halftime and the guys responded well," Roberts coach

Senior

Tamas Nagy to net the equalizer in the 68
th minute for Roberts. Ruiz sent a short pass in to Nagy at the top of the box and the midfielder fed it back to Ruiz, who finished low to the far side for his team-leading seventh goal of the season and the 57
th of his career.
Playing a man up for the final 37 minutes, Roberts generated several quality chances in the second half but was unable to notch the go-ahead goal.
The Redhawks extended their road unbeaten streak to four games.Â
Roberts has the weekend off and will return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 4 for a non-conference match at Slippery Rock University.
