DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – In their first game back since Dec. 17 the Roberts Wesleyan women's basketball team dropped an East Coast Conference matchup on the road to Mercy, 54-46.
 
In a low scoring contest, the Redhawks scored just 23 points through three quarters, but left its best offensive output for the fourth quarter. In the final quarter alone, Roberts scored as many points as they had the entire game.  With less than two minutes to go a Grace Galgano layup cut the deficit to three points, but Mercy answered with six straight points to put the game away.
 
Galgano was the Redhawks leading scorer with 15 points. The freshman added four rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block.
 
Both teams struggled to find the range with Mercy shooting 18-of-56 (32.1%) from the field and Roberts going 19-of-54 (35.2%) from the field. The Redhawks were 0-for-10 from 3-point range.
 
Roberts (2-9, 1-3 ECC) will play at STAC on Sunday at 1 p.m.
