ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's volleyball team dropped a five-set match to Molloy on the road on Saturday afternoon.
Roberts had a 2-1 lead after three sets before falling in two straight sets for Molloy to complete the comeback.
The Redhawks outscored the Lions 76-72 in the match and also had eight more kills than Molloy.
Sydney Yanak had 19 kills to lead all players in the attack category. Yanak also had four assists, three blocks and 12 digs.
Jaycee Karelus and
Olivia Price each added 13 kills to help power the offense.
Molloy's win keeps the Lions ahead of the Redhawks in fourth place in the East Coast Conference standings. The top four teams make conference postseason play.
Roberts (6-11, 2-5 ECC) will play at Queens on Sunday at noon.
