ROCHESTER, N.Y. - In the final home match of the season the Roberts Wesleyan women's volleyball team took down D'Youville, 3-1.
The Redhawks fought back from a 7-0 deficit in the fourth set to halt the Saint's comeback attempt. Roberts won the first two sets of the match with D'Youville winning the third set.Â
Olivia Price (19 kills) and
Sydney Yanak (17 kills) led the offense with setter
Caleigh Schroeder adding 48 assists.Â
Teagan Weber had three aces and 16 digs to lead the team in both categories.Â
Prior to the game, the Redhawks celebrated senior
Laura Amaya for senior night. Amaya finished the match with five kills and three blocks.Â
Roberts (7-13, 3-7 ECC) are still alive in East Coast Conference postseason qualification, but will need to win the final two road games of the season and receive help from other teams in the ECC. The team will play St. Thomas Aquinas and Mercy on Saturday and Sunday.Â
