ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University women's field hockey team closed out the home portion of its schedule against Lancaster Bible College on Saturday afternoon.
The Redhawks, who are in their first season as a program, held the Chargers to one goal in the first half before falling 3-0.
Freshman
Avery Richardson made 10 saves for the Redhawks (1-9), who generated three penalty corners.
"I am really thankful that we had the opportunity to play Lancaster Bible today," Roberts coach Marissa Kocher said. "They are also a Christian school with similar values and it was a great afternoon. I am also pleased with the effort and improvement that our team has shown throughout the season. The amount of growth that has happened on this field since the first day has been astounding. I am very proud of the team for staying the course."
Roberts will play its final two games on the road, including a contest at Elmira College next Saturday.
