AMHERST, N.Y. – Senior guard
Malik Brooks scored 20 of his game-high 28 points in the second half as the Roberts Wesleyan University men's basketball team earned its first victory of the season on Saturday afternoon, an 81-75 triumph over Chestnut Hill College in the East Region Challenge hosted by Daemen University.
Brooks made 11 of his 13 field goal attempts and junior guard
Kevin Constant added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocked shots for the Redhawks (1-1), who led 44-37 at the half.
Junior
Jermaine Taggart II scored 11 points and
Isaiah Elmore grabbed eight rebounds for Roberts.
The Redhawks return to action on Wednesday for an exhibition contest at the University at Buffalo.
